If you or a family member have had personal experience of the eye conditions that Fighting Blindness funds research and counselling for, you might consider making a donation to Fighting Blindness in lieu of funeral or memorial flowers.
Such donations, whether large or small, will have a lasting impact for our patient members and service users in the future.
If you would like to request donations to Fighting Blindness in lieu of flowers you can let family and friends know about your wishes by including information on the death notice of your loved one e.g.
“The family kindly request donations in lieu of flowers to: Fighting Blindness, 3rd Floor, 7 Ely Place, Dublin 2. Tel: 01 6789 004 www.fightingblindness.ie.”
Funeral directors are used to handling such requests and will also be able to help by forwarding any donations received at the funeral home directly to us.
