Paris2Nice 2014 Update

Preparations are well underway for the 2014 Paris2Nice Cycle, the 700km cycle takes place from September 20 to 25. Last year we had five fantastic cyclists taking part and together they raised almost €45,000. This year we have 11 cyclists, including three tandem bikes. and they are hoping to far surpass this amount! Fundraising events and training schedules are really ramping up so it’s going to be a busy few months for our cyclists!

Congratulations to Fighting Blindness Board Member Ronan Holohan who cycled up the famous Mont Ventoux in France three times in one day! Ronan will be tackling Mont Ventoux again in September while piloting a tandem bike as part of the Fighting Blindness Paris2Nice team!

Helen McClelland and Aisling Tohill recently raised over €2,600 at Nutgrove Shopping Centre, Rathfarnham, as part of their Paris2Nice fundraising. They had a tandem bike on a turbo trainer which caused quite a stir!
